As a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and songwriter, for his solo project Titus Waldner is creating genre-bending soundscapes somewhere between bedroom pop and psychedelic indie. Groovy drums, playful bass lines, washed out synths, and guitars, all rounded off with mellow vocals, seamlessly moving between English and German lyrics.
Growing up on a remote farm in Germany, he learned how to creatively keep himself busy and fill up the rural silence with notes on his piano. After getting into producing and learning more instruments, he self-released a collection of initial songs in 2019. Playing for United We Stream got him signed to Ki Records who helped him release his second EP “Ballroom” followed by his first headline shows, festivals and support gigs. For the past two years he moved between his Leipzig bedroom studio, the farm and studio Zschoch to record the tracks for his debut album—while also taking care of some crops. It is all written, recorded, produced and mixed by Waldner and will be released over the course of the next few months peaking in the album release on April 5th 2024.
