Born in Munich in 1993, she spent her early childhood there. At the age of 11, she moved to
North Rhine-Westphalia with her family and began writing and recording her own songs in
her teenage years. She learned to play the saxophone at a young age and taught herself to
play the guitar. After graduating from high school, she did an apprenticeship as a
photographer and has been working in that job ever since. As a photographer she is into
portraiture and calls her art "Dark Art".
Besides being a photographer she also works as a videographer and model and describes
her music as "NoFI" - what is short for "No Fucking Idea", it reminds of indie / rock with
elements of the 80s, post punk and new wave.
She calls herself an artist named "WAIT! WHAT?". She was inspired to her stage name by
the moments in life that have a completely different outcome than expected.
In August 2020, her first album "HAHAHA NOPE" was released with 10 tracks. It goes in the
direction of rock, synth pop and new wave.
It was played on public radio for the first time in 2021.
WAIT! WHAT? is currently working on the second album which will be released in August
2022. It’s called "Thank you for Hurting me" and reminds of new wave, synth pop and
soundtrack.
