In their first album “A journey in time”, March Mallow’s music is a journey through time. She invites us to put down our luggage and let ourselves be taken into a world full of emotions. An invitation to take a break while enjoying a soft and sweet treat during the spring season.
For this new project, March Mallow is taking a new step and wishes to integrate into the repertoire of the new album music written and composed by the quartet, including two in French. The specificity of this proposal lies in these new original compositions which are in an energy and style similar to these standards of the time that the group has been playing for several years now. Continuing creative residencies for his new album, March Mallow decides to let himself be carried towards other sonic colors. The quartet then calls on other musicians to explore their new ideas. They invite Jean-Pierre Derouard (Claude Bolling, China Moses..) on trumpet and snare drum, Alexandre Berton (Tue-Loup, Dick Annegarn) on drums, Cédric Thimon (Paul Rogers, Zéphirologie) on Saxophone and the Yule string quartet.
This new opus is titled “The silence”. After getting off the train and walking along the platform, here we are at the corner of an alley, immersed in a black and white atmosphere, the street lamps diffuse a thread of light which illuminates the damp asphalt and the smoking manholes. . Soon, we spot a flashing sign in the distance, that of a jazz club. Once we enter the club, we discover March Mallow who immerses us in an atmosphere tinged with bewitching melancholy. This time, this journey will be introspective and will aim to simply rediscover the happiness of being together. Emotions evolve, perceptions change. Eras mingle, awarenesses intertwine, sometimes supported by swing, sometimes by ballads and blues. The tension is palpable...
In this new proposal, March Mallow creates an emotional bridge.
