The London artist of Nigerian heritage draws inspiration from afrobeat legends like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, and leans into his penchant for fusing the classic pan-African sounds he has grown up on, with contemporary UK black music to create an infectious afrobeat sound that is quintessentially Maulo.
The previous single ‘Ambition’ was the ring walk song that British boxing sensation Anthony Joshua walked out to in Sept 2021, in front of over 60,000 people. That song, which Maulo created in collaboration with Under Armour, charted at #3 on Shazam across the world, has seen Maulo garner acclaim and rave reviews from the likes of GQ, Capital Xtra, Sky Sports, and a feature in the official 2021 JD Sports Christmas Ad.
