Ludwik Konopko is a Polish guitarist and composer recognized for his creativity, musical feeling, and impressive guitar technique. His music combines several styles, among others jazz, blues, flamenco, folk, and world music. Ludwik has won Honorable Mention in the 2022 Unsigned Only Music Competition and Special Mention in the 2021 International Songwriting Awards. He was also a finalist of the 20th UK Songwriter Contest (UK), the 18th International Acoustic Music Awards (USA) and the 23rd Annual Great American Song Contest (USA). His several independently produced records, covering mostly his own compositions, were sold in Poland in tens of thousands of copies.
Ludwik Konopko was born in Lviv and has been living in Poland since 1991. He had his first public appearance as a guitarist at the age of 19, when he performed in an orchestra at the Lviv National Philharmonic. In 1989 he co-created his first band Tea Fan Club (TFC), which is still considered today a legendary musical project in Ukraine. In 1999 he co-created the band Cocotier and in 2002 he founded his own Acoustic Travel Band. Both groups performed all over Europe for several years and participated in many musical festivals. In 2005 Ludwik performed with Acoustic Travel Band as support before the world acclaimed guitarist Al di Meola at the Non-Stop Festival in Wroclaw. Ludwik is a part of the Pilar band, and he cooperates with one of the best Polish flamenco fusion groups Que Passa. In 2019 he founded his own ZOA Band and remains its leader until now. Often, Ludwik can be spotted unexpectedly outdoors in different cities where he promotes his records among people attracted by the gentle sound of his guitar.
