meedie has been a vocalist in the local Newcastle music scene since 2019, performing in festivals such as Safe Sounds 2023 and recording in-studio with prominent local artists and producers. As an experienced backing vocalist, vocal harmony has become definitive of her sound - each track densely layered with thought-out vocal performances that aim to re-invent what the role of a vocalist can truly be!
In 2022, meedie began releasing her own music, coming in with sad girl synth-pop banger Without You, which was quickly followed by sassy pop/hip-hop tune sryboutit and later feel good pop-rock bop Forget About It. meedie’s music serves as a window into her mind, emotions and life - each song entries to a shared diary.
Her new single Accidental Plagiarist was recorded in her bedroom, as with all the upcoming tracks for meedie’s debut album, ‘MOVE’, set to be released in 2023. Keep an ear out to get all the tea on meedie!
