Despite the unusual circumstances of 2020, Soulja (سولجا) has grown and established himself in the Arab rap scene, quickly becoming a household name across Sudan & the MENA region in a matter of months. With the release of his debut EP, Nomadic, gaining popularity throughout the region, the Sudanese artist was able to transform his passion for music into a full-time career.
Moving between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia before basing himself in Sudan, Soulja raps in his native Sudanese Arabic, keeping his music grounded in his identity, while simultaneously taking the modern trap sound and making it his own.
Ending the year strong with over a million views on his YouTube page and performances with Sudanese talents such as Flippter & O’d, Soulja makes his entrance into 2021 with his first release of the year, “Charleston”, produced by Monkey and engineered by SVNBIRDS founder 77.
