Drawing inspiration from a Leonard Cohen song title, Alexandra Leaving's music defies expectations. Originally from Shropshire and now London based, the indie rock artist blends influences from PJ Harvey, The Cranberries, Wolf Alice and The Kills, carving her unique space in the rock arena.
Support from BBC Radio One’s ‘Introducing Rock Show,’ BBC6Music, Radio X, BBC Introducing London and KEXP. With her band, she’s performed at London venues The Lexington, Sebright Arms, The Victoria and The Waiting Room to celebrate the release of her debut EP, ‘An Exorcise in Anger.’
Collaborating closely with producer Michael Smith (Wolf Alice and Slaney Bay), Alex released her debut EP earlier this year. Her follow-up single, ‘Out Of This World,’ is the first of more singles to be released this year.
