Opium is a musical collective that started its history in Vladivostok back in 1987. Starting with synth-pop, they gradually experimented with different genres, but always remained true to the spirit of the New Romanticism era. Their melodic compositions, romantic lyrics and unique sound take us back to an era when synth-pop and new romanticism reigned on the music scene.
New Wave is not only a style, but also a way of life. It was a time when young people were searching for their place in the world, seeking freedom and expressing themselves through music. Opium were able to capture this spirit and convey it in their songs.
