Taking the musical elements of bands like AC/DC and KISS, these four guys from Chile do not seek to reinvent the wheel but instead give a fresh, new spin to classic hard rock.
After more than 10 years playing together in different bands, in 2011 four friends from Santiago, Chile made a decision. Marc Astro (guitars), Lucho Cifras (bass & vocals), José Burger (drums) and Neves (guitars) decided to form Charky, a direct and honest band, heavily influenced by the giants of classic rock.
This four-piece of former high school friends does not seek to revolutionize the music scene in Chile nor reinvent the wheel. Their purpose is simple: to enjoy the music they like and to homage the heroes from their youth.
In May 2011, the band released their first single "Mala Mujer", followed by a second single "Sacando La Vuelta" in September of the same year.
2012 saw the release of their first full length album: "Se les Acabó la Fiesta". A collection of 9 songs, including the ones previously released as singles, with lyrical themes that range from somber and hopeless ("Deudas", "Cesante") to party anthems ("La Perrera", "3 Rubias y una Negra").
Currently the band is preparing a second full length album to follow their latest single, “Shores”, released in May 2013.
