Valesca Popozuda is an icon of brazilian funk music, considered one of the pioneers of the genre in the early 2000s. It was as the founder and lead vocalist of the group "Gaiola das Popozudas" (2000-2012) that Valesca gained national prominence, with hits like "Late Que Eu Tô Passando" and "Agora Sou Solteira" ("Barking as I Pass By" and "Now I'm Single" in English).
