"The hero of your neighborhood"
GIR is a rapper from the far north of Germany, more precisely from Kiel, the home of the Gorch Fock and the THW. The newcomer manages to stand out from the crowd of German-speaking rappers and not get lost in the mishmash of his colleagues. His original wordplay, his tremendous technique and his unique lyrics ensure that he stands out. He is a mouthpiece for his generation without losing his grip and taking off. Above all, the authenticity so often demanded does not fall by the wayside, but is an elementary component of his music.
These characteristics are not only reflected on his first release from 2014, but also on his second EP, which is called "Held deiner Gegend II" and comes in the form of an EP. This time, however, the Kiel native has completely dispensed with guest contributions. As with the first part, the production of Held deiner Gegend II was handled by Zendo, who has previously worked with the Kiel rappers Steasy, Frank Hemd, Jaspa, Dray Durch and Hardliner. Held deiner Gegend II will be released on 15.12.2017 via the Kiel hip-hop label "Baltic Noise".
