On 4/18/24, Luis Muñoz, a composer from Costa Rica will release “Glimmering Path” featuring Guyanese singer Lois Mahalia
On April 18, 2024, Luis Muñoz, a composer, producer and multi instrumentalist from Costa Rica and a Tucson resident for the last two years will release “Glimmering Path”, a brand new recording featuring Guyanese singer Lois Mahalia. The project will be officially unveiled during Muñoz’s participation on a TEDx Talk in San José, Costa Rica on that day.
He will also be releasing this Friday March 22nd, a two hour video of him performing with his American Quartet in Costa Rica during his summer tour last year. “Luis Muñoz en Concierto en Costa Rica” will be unveiled on the 22nd with a free live streaming on the YouTube Channel of “Audiovisuales UNED”, the producers of the video. Both, Muñoz and Lois Mahalia, the Guyanese singer featured in both, the album and the video, will be participating live during the streaming.
Muñoz has released a dozen records under his name, all praised by the international media. His last 4 CDs alone made it into the lists of “The 10 Best Records of the Year” in Jazziz Magazine. In 2016 he was named among the “12 Best Artists of the Year” by NPR’s Al Latino. Luis has received a total of 11 nominations and 7 ACAM Awards (Association of Composers and Musical Authors) in Central America.
A summer tour in support of “Glimmering Path” is in the works, and will include stops in both Phoenix and Tucson.
