Second voice of the French rock group Dionysos, Babet is back with her third album: "La promesse". Her melodic, romantic and dense writing is still heard, as well as her fervent violin and warm singing. Babet plays with portraits on this album and sings for those she loves and admires. Her parents, her husband, and surprisingly, we discover that the singer is a fan of boxing and admires Mohamed Ali, and pays tribute to the intrepid and poetic French tightrope walker, Philippe Petit. Her group Dionysos is also honored.
The singer's soft voice rests voluptuously on polished arrangements that she has a secret for, and that already delighted our ears on her previous album, "Piano-monstre". There is a very particular and unique science of melody in Babet, something pure, dreamlike, sometimes reminiscent of the fleeting flight of a bird, sometimes the meanders of a rough sea. We always travel
with Babet, whether through the choice of subjects, the writing of his texts
or musically. We always find ourselves taking paths
which come to us as if by surprise, a beautiful itinerary...
