Blending classic pop/rock sounds, Royal Band is a reflection of their founding members' musical diverseness. Peter Daily and Darius Minaee met while touring as drummers for indie Hip-Hop artists Pigeon John and Lyrics Born. After numerous demos the band began working with producer Adam MacDougall (Circles Around the Sun).
Recorded in L.A. starting at Hollywood Sound Recorders, the guys found their home base with musicians Brian Ray (Paul McCartney), Chris Bruce (Bob Dylan), Zac Rae (Miley Cyrus) and the late Neal Casal (Circles Around the the Sun), before moving to 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica with bass player Shawn Davis (Beck's "Guero" & "The Information"). Along the way, Jeff Trastek (guitar) and Mike Matias (bass) began playing with the band live.
An eclectic mix of musical personalities, the Royal Band's music is a reflection of their influences that range from Wings to Harry Nilsson and Steely Dan to Michael Jackson. The bands song “Colour of Sound” is featured on the Netflix series “Terrace House: Opening New Doors.”
