Flashback from my album AFTERMATH is out now
Raised in Potomac, Maryland, Jessica Carter Altman was surrounded by a strong and supportive family. Her mother, the legendary Lynda Carter, helped build a steadfast sense of self in the singer and her father, Robert A. Altman instilled a love for law and philanthropy. Referencing her sound as "Amy Winehouse meets Elliot Root meets I’m With Her,” Jessica launched her career while in law school at the University of Michigan. Her powerful, smooth voice and talent have landed her guest performances and features on the Tamron Hall Show, California Live, Good Day DC, Today in Nashville, The Talk, the TODAY Show, Forbes and Travel Girl. She has been featured as one of People Magazine’s “Ones To Watch.” When crafting her single, 'Aftermath,' Jessica embarked on a journey to explore the profound changes and aftermath that follow in the wake of life-altering events. As Altman aptly puts it, "For better or for worse, life goes on, and you get to choose what your life will become. Only you can decide if you are going to let yourself be swallowed by the situation. While we can't change history, we possess the power to shape our future."
