Harry Allouche is a French composer, pianist and music producer.
He creates a music inspired by popular influences and classical sounds, working with electronic and orchestral colors: a sonic research that accompanies filmmakers’ vision.
In 2017, Harry signed his first original score for the documentary Cinema Through the Eye of Magnum co-produced by Magnum Photos.
The film, celebrating the historical agency’s 70th anniversary, was nominated at the Telluride International Film Festival.
Harry composed the score for Ludovic Bernard’s feature film In Your Hands (2018), featuring Kristin Scott Thomas, Lambert Wilson and Jules Benchetrit. He created a veiled sound intertwining the city’s murmur with the main character’s own musical imagination. Also, Harry was head of the film’s musical direction for which he notably adapted and conducted Rachmaninov’s piano concerto n°2.
Born in Paris, Harry first learned piano and drums, a practice that led him to become a member of the French rock band Les Shades in 2004. The group then joined the record company Tricatel. Deeply interested in all kinds of music, he signed several arrangements notably for pop artists such as April March and the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
Harry earned a master's degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where he studied with contemporary composers Thierry Escaich, Marc-André Dalbavie and Michaël Lévinas.
