Chanson emo-queer bipolaire qui passe du majeur au mineur.
It is a fact that 2020 had been a complicated year for everyone. It was a turning point made of major changes. Even though it was lockdown for some people – for others it was a time for reconsideration.
Sébastien Delage, who founded the band Hollydays and debuted with the album Hollywood Bizarre in 2018 with Polydor, decided that 2020 would become the beginning of a new life.
Now he has decided to go solo and starts a new chapter in his life. It wasn’t easy since he had to go through the worst in order to find what is beautiful for him. He used every obstacle that was thrown in his pathway for inspiration and made it fuel for his music vehicle. Even though singing was never really his thing now he decides to take a leap of faith and this time - almost all by himself - delved into songwriting, music, music arrangement and vocals.
His songs are about true storylines which can be dark and full of hope, his obsessions, his short and long terms love stories. He creates a bipolar universe which looks like him orbiting musical scales which can brutally go from major to minor. Through this catharsis he fights his demons and desires, which most of times are almost the same.
The musical arrangement is radical, it has to be organic : guitar-bass-drums-vocals. His inspirations go from Big Thief, Angel Olsen, to Chad VanGaalen and Radiohead... but in French.
