Hubert Blanc-Francard fell into the world of music when he was a child. As a teenager, thanks to the home studio set up in his bedroom by his father, he began to play with drum machines and synthesizers. The 80s ended when he joined Polydor as a DA and participated in the emergence of French rap, co-producing the first album of MC Solaar alongside Jimmy Jay. A few years later, with producer Philippe Zdar, he discovered electronic music: under the pseudonym BoomBass, he created, with his alter ego, the Cassius duo which became, alongside Daft Punk, and under the Ed Banger label directed by Pedro Winter, one of the spearheads of the French touch, this movement which allowed French music to shine throughout the world.
