More Weight is the debut release by Michael Corcoran.
Michael Corcoran was a member of Difference Engine, a Providence-based indie band active in the 90s that was inspired by shoegaze and electronic music. Now, Michael is back with an exciting new 4-song EP of electronic dream pop.
The songs evoke mystery and haunting, conjuring feelings of desire, utopia, and the supernatural. Michael’s vocals ride on analog synths, electronic pianos, loops, and atmospheric effects. The vibrant and shimmering sound is driven by bass, drums, and percussion.
More Weight was recorded at home in Providence in 2023 and released in 2024.
