Lail Arad is a London-born singer and writer, best known for her sharp lyrics, arresting voice and singular live shows. She has released two acclaimed solo albums, published a book of lyrics, toured extensively, opened for the likes of Television and Ezra Furman, had a baby, written a novel, not in that order.
In 2017 Lail teamed up with Canadian songwriter JF Robitaille, releasing a string of singles and touring extensively throughout Europe, Canada and India. Their songs were recently featured in the movie Tripped Up (Universal) and their full length duo album is set for release next year.
Lail recently produced and curated a star-studded tribute for Joni Mitchell 80th which premiered to a sold out crowd at London's iconic Roundhouse in April '24. 'The Songs of Joni Mitchell' is going on tour in the UK in this September.
