Joff Oddie is a British musician and co-founder of the Mercury Award winning band Wolf Alice.
In May 2020, Joff released his first solo record, To Mr Fahey, a collection of folk standards in aid of The Trussell Trust - a food bank charity in the U.K.
Mr Fahey is an ode to the humble guitar instrumental and to the guitarists who have inspired Joff to pick up and play every day. It is in this way that he joins the old folk tradition, wherein tunes are passed down, reworked, performed and passed down once more.
“It’s a tradition that may be fading,” says Joff. “But perhaps together and with a new-found enthusiasm, we can keep it alive for a little while longer.”
