'My Calling' - new song release out now!!!
SONIQUE is a young, vibrant and energetic new artist. Her music evokes a spectrum of feelings – from the euphoria of happiness to the melancholy of sadness and the fiery passion of anger.
SONIQUE’s music journey kicked off when she was eight, when she first picked up a guitar. From school concerts to years at the East Rand Youth Choir, international competitions, and open mic nights, she has honed her skills before embarking on her journey as a solo artist. Sonique is not just a performer; she's a passionate creator who finds joy in the process of crafting original music.
Her blend of alternative electro pop infused with an edgy twist is undeniably soulfully authentic and inspirational. Her music is not just heard; it is felt. Captivating compositions that have an infectious energy sparking movement and igniting the spirit.
After releasing ‘Why Are We Still Here’ in July as her first official song to market, Sonique’s song ‘Marinade’ written and produced in collaboration with RADA a humanitarian organization based in South Africa released on all streaming platforms on the 2nd of August 2024. ‘Marinade’ is SONIQUE’s ‘launch song’ and the official start to an exciting music career, which has included national and international exposure - press, radio and television.
‘Finding Your Way’ was SONIQUE’s third big release in 2024 which was followed by a RADA Unearthed co-lab track she was part of called ‘Together We Are Stronger’ produced by Mark Beling and written by Neil Engel, it features the voices of several talented artists including iSandi, Ramelo, Pedro Barbosa, Lia Elise, Ross Learmonth, SEVVEN, Me-Ko, SeanJ and Mark Beling.
SONIQUE plans to release three new original songs during 2025 which form part of her first completed album. Her next new track drops on March 14th - My Calling.
