Compacity™, born Michael Dominguez on October 23, 1987, is a American recording artist of Dominican ethnicity. Born in New York City, but raised in in “Tha Bean” Boston, Massachusetts. Compacity™ experienced a significant change in his upbringing when he moved from New York City to Boston at a young age. Despite the move, he was able to embrace the unique cultural influences of both cities, which shaped his overall style and personality.
Compacity™ at a young age, found solace in music after tragically losing his parents at the young age of 7. While growing up in the 90s he was influenced heavily by Hip-Hop, R&B, and Latin music. Compacity™ began writing music in high school and experimenting with recording on his home computer using Sony Acid Pro. Towards the end of his High School years he took some classes at Berklee College of Music for a short period of time.
Compacity's™ music is known for its captivating lyrics about sex, romance, and street life, delivered with smooth vibes and catchy hooks. He started his musical journey as part of the Latin hip-hop group "Los Rankiadorez™" performing at local talent shows across the east coast. The group released a compilation of work, including their first EP, "Los Mas Callao Son Los Mas Peligroso," which was produced by Latin producer Nan2 El Maestro De Las Melodia, and "Death Before Dishonor," featuring contributions from Big Mato and Temperamento among others.
In 2008, Compacity™ set out on a journey to gain more recognition for his music. He launched his solo career with the help of producer Grizzly The Specialist at Concealed Weaponz Productionz, where he honed his skills and quickly gained recognition for his unique style and raw talent. During this time, he released various singles and was featured on multiple records, including his LP "The Compacity Zone" featuring the tracks "Love Music Drug Music" "Mary Jane" and "Ready For The Game”.
In early 2012, Compacity™ expanded his entrepreneurial pursuits by launching Rare Stitches, formerly known as The Addicted Apparel. The brand's exceptional designs and superior fabrics set it apart in a crowded market and have garnered a loyal following of customers who appreciate its attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
After a three-year musical hiatus, Compacity™ joined forces with Alyssah Stylez to release the EP "The Rebirth" in 2016. The project showcased both artists' distinct styles and featured the tracks "Dime Si Tu," "Tell Me," and "Oohh." "Tell Me" was the most streamed song on the EP, reigniting Compacity's™ passion for music.
In 2017, Compacity™ had the chance to meet Brvndo during a visit to Orlando, Florida. The two musicians instantly connected over their shared love for creating and recording music and released their first collaboration, "Mobster," in the spring of 2018. The catchy beats and lyrics made it one of their most streamed tracks.
