Supa Squad is a group that emerged in 2011 when cousins Mr. Marley and Zacky Man combined their Cape Verdean roots in an ambitious music project. Since then, they have been known for their fusion of musical genres such as dancehall, moombahton, and afrobeat, creating a unique and distinctive sound.
In 2018, they released their first Portuguese-language single, "Manda Vir," followed by the hits "Tudo Nosso" and "Avé Maria," which reached #1 on YouTube and #2 on iTunes with over 30 million views and streams.
In 2020, Supa Squad released their debut album, "Tudo Nosso," through Sony Music. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Jimmy P, Deejay Telio, David Carreira, Nelson Freitas, and C4 Pedro, among others. "Tudo Nosso" is the culmination of Supa Squad's 8-year career and carries a message of celebration and collaboration in the Portuguese music scene. It is, without a doubt, the affirmation of two artists with a unique and versatile melodic style.
Supa Squad is known for their energetic and rhythmic performances and have appeared on some of the country's main stages, such as Rock in Rio, MEO Sudoeste, Sumol Summer Fest, Sol da Caparica, as well as performing in countries such as Cape Verde, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
In addition to being singers, Supa Squad are also producers, having produced their own songs and songs for other artists, and collaborating with artists such as Blaya, Ivandro, Boss AC, Karetus, Putzgrilla, and Leftside, among others.
In 2022, they released the EP "Patrões," with seven tracks inspired by the group's dancehall style, always with a present African beat, and featuring a track with a collaboration with Regula.
In January 2023, Supa Squad brings a new experience with the release of their new project, "Afrodrill," which promises to shake up the national scene.
