He’s been called Atlanta’s Next Great Storyteller, and the name couldn’t be more fitting. Rapper Grip
has consistently carved a niche for himself within Hip-Hop, starting with his breakout project Porch in
2017, where the East Atlanta native first planted the seed of being known for unclassifiable game-
changing music. His lyricism is strong, a product of Hip-Hop greats like Jay-Z, Nas, and Outkast mixed
with experimental sounds from bands like Nirvana. In 2019, Grip released Snubnose, a project that
changed it all, as his knack for creating concept mixtapes was taken to the next level. It wasn’t long
before the world was inquiring about Grip and wanted to hear more. His music reached the ears of
none other than Eminem, who added the upstart to his Shady Records roster.

"..The Atlanta rapper snaps.""Grip is in his fullest form."
His label debut “I Died For This!?” (released in 2021) presented an evolved sound,
while maintaining Grip’s love of conceptual themes. “I Died For This!?” was a deep
dive into Grip’s psyche and is an idyllic introduction to those just learning about
Grip and a reminder for existing fans that the musician doesn’t fit a cookie cutter
sound. The bulk of production resides with longtime producer Tu.
In 2022 Grip took “I Died For This!?” on the road as a guest on Westside
Boogie’s “More Black Superhero” tour which kicked off in Detroit and stopped
through various cities across North America. Following tour, GRIP dropped a
surprise mixtape “5 & A F*** U” to keep his fans engaged. He paired the
mixtape with videos that dropped weekly after its release. Currently, GRIP is
in the studio working on his next full-length project set to release in 2023.
