Canadian artist and songwriter Olivia Lunny is one of the most promising rising stars in music today, delivering her own distinct flavor of pop through candid and thoughtful lyrics, accompanied flawlessly by dance infused synths and bright, stunning vocals.
After taking up guitar and writing her first song at the age of 12, the Winnipeg native soon ascended to national fame, earning a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Pop Artist of the Year when she was 17 and scoring a Top 40 hit in 2019 with her magnetic single “I Got You.” More recently, Olivia had the honor performing with some of Canada ’s top musical talent including Justin Bieber and Michael Bublé, on a charity cover of "Lean On Me" to raise funds for the Canadian Red Cross towards COVID19 relief efforts and initiatives, and with early features from outlets including Billboard, PAPER, American Songwriter, and Parade, Olivia’s refreshing new pop sound is already making major waves.
Olivia's new EP, ‘To the Ones I Loved’ captures the playfulness, vulnerability, and energy of navigating the transition from her teenage years into young adulthood. The project is a reflection of Olivia’s journey so far and the thoughtful lyrics in each song both challenge the listener to embrace the multifaceted emotions that come with heartbreak while providing the comforting reassurance that growth will inevitably come from those experiences.
After a breakthrough year Olivia has no intentions of slowing down. The independent Canadian talent has more up her sleeve and is already working on her next project, slated for early 2021, so be sure to keep an eye out for what’s to come.
