Electro Swing/Retro Pop artist and producer,
Boston, MA
For Boston based vocalist and producer Valerie Giglio, it's all about bringing back that vintage sound and style and pairing it with electronic dance music. She possesses a distinctive lush, retro sound with a modern edge that makes her unique in today's music world. She released the albums "Songbook" and "The Italian Project", originally starting her solo career singing jazz standards, Italian language songs, and unique renditions of hits from the 40's through the 80's.
2021 marked her debut in the Electro Swing genre with the release "Starlite Ballroom" featuring Italian vibist Samuel Cerra, which won a Global Music Award. She soon followed this release with more electro swing singles, a holiday EP, and the LP "Midnight at the Speakeasy" .
Giglio has been singing professionally for over two decades. She is a Voting Member of The Recording Academy (Grammys®). She is also a stroke survivor who overcame paralysis and the loss of her singing voice in 2014 to continue making music. After relearning to walk and sing, she attended the world-renowned Berklee College of Music where she met fellow student Cerra, majored in Electronic Production and Sound Design, and reinvented herself as an electronic artist with a retro swing and jazz edge. Giglio self-produces her electronic productions and has embarked on a new and rising career in EDM as an artist with a wide appeal both in the USA and worldwide while continuing to be an inspiration to many.
