One could simply list the countries in which they have played (from Canada to Japan, from Turkey to Russia, and almost all the countries in the European Union).
Or mention the more than 900 shows they played.
Or list all the bands they shared a stage with (Anti-Flag, Mad Caddies, Streetlight Manifesto, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, Against Me!, The Aggrolites, MxPx; Burning Heads, Guerilla Poubelle The JB Conspiracy, A Whilhem Scream, The Aquabats, RX Bandits, Coquettish...).
Or talk about all the festivals they played (Punkrock Holiday, Mighty Sounds, Jear on Air, Groezrock, Open Flair, Dour, Wasted, Tells Bells…).
Or tell about their friendship with Big D & the Kids Table, The Flatliners or The Slackers, featured on some of their tracks.
All this tells a bit about the history of P.O.BOX
But all this tells little about who P.O.BOX is ultimately...
P.O.BOX is out of fashion.
Through their winding journey through the rocky paths of rock music, they have forged their own unique path. Their live performances are often opportunities to create temporary zones of autonomy with the audience. Their albums are regularly born out of a desire and need to bear witness to situations that need to be deciphered. Learning to read between the lines and moving forward together.
22 years after their debut, a new album titled “spaceavailable.” is released in 2023. 14 pure gems blending punkrock, ska, reggae and rocksteady, with featurings from Stacey Dee (Bad Cop/Bad Cop), Matt Carson (The JB Conspiracy), Sam Rothon (Tree House Fire) and Rémi Mayot (Can’t Bear This Party, Freygolo).
