Today, Lize is a singer-songwriter and performer who has always treated music as an extension of herself. Introduced to it as a child by her grandfather, a violinist, she discovered the stage early on and naturally moved from violinist to vocalist. This dual approach shapes a vibrant, authentic, and free musical universe, with the violin remaining at the heart of her sonic identity.
Barely of age, she left her native Savoie, driven by an insatiable desire for freedom. With a touring company that blended circus and theater, Lize roamed across Europe in a caravan, performing under big tops and embracing a lifestyle that was as demanding as it was exhilarating. When the pandemic abruptly halted her nomadic journey, she turned the break into an opportunity: after a year working abroad to finance a fresh start, she chose Marseille as her creative home. There, she began composing songs that explore deeply personal and resonant themes such as consent, female empowerment, mental health, and the complexities of love.
2024 marked a turning point: a standout semi-finalist on The Voice France and recipient of the FAIR award (following in the footsteps of Pomme, Feu! Chatterton, and Zaho de Sagazan), Lize signed with Universal Music France, solidifying her place among the most promising new voices on the French scene. She skillfully blends modern folk and French pop influences, with her violin adding a signature layer to her sound. Rejecting conventional formats, she embraces full artistic freedom, crafting melodies in an instinctive, organic way. Her lyrics, marked by poetry and raw intensity, express a relentless search for truth and emotion.
On stage, she delivers performances that are both powerful and intimate, forging a unique bond with her audience. Her visual identity — inspired by the ethereal world of Aurora and the natural elegance of Charlotte Cardin — reflects her unwavering pursuit of authenticity.
