Sliding onto the worldwide music scene in smooth indie-hero style, Kasimp is an emerging artist pumping out his own brand of fresh and funky, groove-infused Conscious-Pop. He’s currently riding the DIY, bedroom pop wave — providing precision and quality to a genre often lacking in high quality sound.
What sets him apart from other artists is his uncanny ability to blend together a flurry of different styles. With influences ranging as far as Parliament-Funkadelic to Frank Ocean and even the Arctic Monkeys; his sound is hard to pigeonhole, though finds that perfect sweet spot between laid back indie anthems and deep, soul infused rhythms. His goal is to bask listeners in a wall of vivid colours and satisfying sounds, allowing his audience to lose themselves to euphoric melodies whilst still thinking deeply about the story he’s telling in his song. He writes, performs and records everything himself, but incorporates a full band into his electrifying live performances to create an even more organic experience.
Following the release of his debut EP “MIND”, Kasimp has a second EP in the works. Atmospherically minimalist, soulful and texturally stunning; the seven track release showcases Kasimp at his very best. From experimental harmonies to infectious rhythms and pop-perfect melodies, the project pushes the genre boundaries to dazzlingly far levels. The release comes many years after a lifetime of playing music. Since he was a kid, music was one of the only things that truly resonated within him. The songwriter wrote songs and played in bands throughout his teens before getting more into Alternative RnB and Hip-Hop and forming his own solo project. Though still occupied with his solo project, he is currently working with other artists and has a number of highly-anticipated releases in the works.
