Platinum-selling and multi-award nominated DJ/Producer, Tshepo Mosidi better known as, Junior Taurus was born in the heart of Rustenburg and raised in Pretoria, South Africa.
The multi-talented DJ and producer has managed to build a solid name for himself over the years by having worked with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Okmalumkoolkat, Thebe Lenyora, DJ Sumbody, Kiddominant (Nigeria) [Now known as Kiddo]; Focalistic; DJ Tira; Lady Zamar; Fiztas Mixwell; Major League DJs; African Roots; Snow Deep; Harrison Crump and many more over numerous productions and A&R sessions.
Junior Taurus is also an entrepreneur in which he co-founded the now defunct, “CapCity Records” which formerly housed rappers and songwriters, Blaklez, Nviegh, PdotO, and many others. Since the establishment of his musical career, Junior Taurus has managed to gain himself over 5 South African Music Award nominations as well as 2 Metro FM award nominations which further led to the birthing of his own sub-genre namely known as “Broken Beats” which is an influx of street-based genres such as ‘Bacardi’ and much more. He has successfully scouted and discovered acts in which he assisted in his label management era.
It was in 2023 when Junior Taurus received the opportunity to formally contribute to one of Usher’s remixes for his own hit single “Ruin” in which he topped the charts across various radio stations around the world.
He now returns in 2024 with a brand new sound and prepares to take his audience on an experience of street music through a stellar project collaboration with longtime friend and collaborator Jubsta. The project which is titled “The Ritual” will be released on the 3rd of October 2024 on all streaming platforms.
